Stage
Students are required to do internships in companies every year, starting in the second half of June, until completing 12 credits (three months). The last year you must do a total of 16 credits (four months), which can be extended as extracurricular activities (normally companies offer periods of at least six months).
In the mention of Hotel Management, the internships are concentrated in hotels and other tourist establishments in the Departments of Services and Kitchen (first), Accommodation and Reception (second), as managers (third) and as assistants to the management or any department (fourth). In the mention of Gastronomy, apprenticeships in companies focus on restaurants and hotel catering for four years, being able to diversify from the third year in the food, distribution, agricultural and livestock industries, and others.
The CSHG has an Internship department that advises and guides students during their stay at the school and with a view to their employment, supported by the different internship tutors.
Regulations
The USC Interuniversity Student Exchange Regulation controlls student mobility. Through the Foreign Relations Service, both national (SICUE) and European (ERASMUS) and extra-community (exchanges with Latin American or English-speaking countries) exchange programs are managed.
In the case of the CSHG, external academic internships in companies are also governed by their own regulations, the Stage Regulations, together with the USC regulations that may affect them, as well as by what is stipulated in the teaching guides of some subjects. competent.
